The hotel has reasonably large rooms complete with very comfy beds, very high ceiling plus air-con. Its decor is beautiful. The staff are helpful, managed the parking nearby. The location is perfect, as the venue is based right in front of the cathedral.

I stayed at the Locanda for six nights and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel, the staff efficiency as well as their politeness and friendly assistance. the breakfasts were much more than expected with meats and cheese in addition to the yogurt and pastries. the staff also cheerfully made capuccinos on request. the location is perfect for touring the city as you can walk anywhere and it's beautiful looking out at the Catedral di San Lorenzo while eating breakfast. I would deffinitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

The receptionist is really friendly and helpful... plus the room is really big and beautiful... a good price for a a.k.a. studio apartment!

Great location! Just a stone's throw away from the main tourist attractions, business district, and the cathedral, all right in the heart of the city center. 🌟

I liked almost everything. Our room was huge and retained much of the character of the historic building, with broadband computer and LCD TV set as added bonus in the room. A special recommendation should go to the staff, extremely helpful and attentive.
No soap bar or handwash in the bathroom, only monodose shampoo and shower gel available. Breakfast, which is good and varied, could be enormously improved changing pastries supplier.

The hotel is excellent - the real palazzo. We were 6 of us (with 2 young children), so we lived in the big flat in another building - former palazzo too. The apartment was big (3 bedrooms), clean and comfortable. Next morning nice woman bring the breakfast in our room in the basket - bread, croissants, prosciutto, cheese, yogurts, jam, orange juices, milk - we didn't eat it whole. The place is right in the centre - cathedral, Porto antico, palace rolli... And after all the woman on reception advised us one cozy restaurant - it was fantastic, one the best Italian food we'd ever eat in Italy.

the palace exceeded my expectations. it's in a great location in the old town, with everything nearby. the rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, with stunning original features. the self-checkin was easy, and the staff, especially Christina, were incredibly helpful and friendly.
minimal options and seating was uncomfortable.

We rented a catered flat for the Christmas break. The flat is located in the middle of Genova's Old Town, in the palazzo, but it was recently refurbished and decorated with modern furtniture. We prefered our breakfasts were delivered to the flat, which was done on time. The cleaner, who was coming every day, was good and kept place very clean. There is a modern lift, so we had no problems with the baby's buggy.
The Residenza have several flats, while photos on the website are from 2 flats only. We were offered a different place first, but when requested were allocated the flat which was advertised on the website. There is no car access to the flat at all, so all luggage and shopping needs to be carried from the parking (min 400m). Parking is paid and very expensive - it cost about 125 euros for 4 days.

So charming! We stayed two nights and on our second night we stayed in a really great room. The ceilings were at least 15 feet high with beautiful traditional moldings and details. And the windows were very Genovese-- tall, with shutters that open to the piazza. The view faced this small piazza. We had a little wine and cheese on our balcony one night overlooking a little part of Genoa. It was great for me and my boyfriend, we're a young couple-- so we didn't mind the see-through glass shower. More conservative couples might not like that. A great location too! We were given great help in the morning of good streets to walk around and sites to see. Definitely recommend it!
The name of the hotel is actually "Palazzo Cicala" (not the longer name). We looked everywhere in the Piazza and didn't find it immediately. Also, we payed to stay in a room where on their website had painted walls with an Italian Fresco. It wasn't that room-- it was actually a room in a basement type space. Huge room, with very low ceilings, and 2 double beds. It would have been great if 4 friends wanted to bunk together-- but it wasn't a right fit for us. We asked the next day if we could move to another room and were given a slight attitude even though I asked very nicely. And she did let us change and we loved the next room!!!
